Beach Wheelchair

Kiama Downs SLSC has a beach wheelchairs available free of charge for access to Jones’s Beach.

The beach wheelchairs will provide and improve access to the beach for  people living with disability.

The child / adult size all-terrain beach wheelchairs will ensure participants have access to and are included in mainstream activities.

People looking to hire a beach wheelchair need to:

• follow safety procedures
• communicate with the patrol captain on duty
• only use the beach wheelchair at the Kiama Downs SLSC beach area
• only use the beach wheelchair between the flags as patrolled by the Surf Life Saving Club
• make sure carers assist in using the beach wheelchair
